Default Needing some good advice.

Hey I am about to loose my mind. I have replaced the Idle positioning sensor the throttle body and vacuum control. I cant hardly get it to start. When I do I hold the throttle wide open. Misses like crazy.I hold it half throttle and unplug the idle sensor and it smooths out. But It must be reconnected before it will restart.New Timing chain and gears. New Distributor cap button plugs and wires.Just cannot pin point the problem. Anyone got any advice I haven't tried.??????

You said you replaced the T.P. Sensor ? Did you put in on the right way? Can you check the voltage on the green wire our of the T.P. sensor ? Should be 1.00 volts or less. If higher than that, you put it on wrong, and will have to be replaced.

When it finally starts it blows black smoke that smells like raw gas. That was why I was thinking vacuum.

Google suggested it could be the fuel pressure regulator causing the black smoke any suggestions
