I have an 04 F-150 w/ a 5.4 & 4x4 with 110k miles

I had a loud thumping and grinding noise between 5-15 mph for a while and when i brought it to my guy he deemed the problem being the tranny so he put in a rebuilt trans and put in a new tourqe converter under warrenty of the place i bought it. the grinding noise stopped and theres no more slippage but it still makes the thumping noise. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe its the transfer case?

 

Does the thud happen when you put the truck into gear?

 

it was happening in neutral also. i got it fixed tho turns out my ebreak was attached too tight on my left rear and i got it loosened up and not it runs fine. thanks tho man
