Idle issues driving me nuts! Can I be the only one?
Hi guys and girls I'm having Idol issues and it's got me at my wit's end!
2012 XLT 5.0
When truck is at operating temperature and I'm in gear with my foot on the brake it hunts for RPM between 450 and 600.
It it also likes to stall when I'm going in reverse into a parking spot or my driveway.
New parts include:
-MAF sensor
-new plugs
-purge valve
-pcv valve
-air filter
-bank 1 sensor 1 O2
-pulled the injectors and cleaned them
-removed and cleaned throttle body
-performed an idle reset
-
no codes and on my OBDII everything runs in spec.
Also at driving rpms it works great. I had terrible fuel economy (28L/100km) until I changed my MAF and got the PCM updated. Now I'm 18L/100km which is still a little high. 13 is where I normally am.
Looking for all ideas please. I've also tried spraying for vacuum leaks and found non.
Has anyone had issues with the fuel pump drive module on this engine? I have the new one that's all plastic, not the aluminum one that had lots of issues.
