Might want to add vacuum fill tool for filling coolant (I don’t know how hard it is to avoid air pockets on a 3.5)
i did the water pump on mine and another time did the turbo cooling lines, zero issues with air pockets/getting the truck to burp

If you have access to a vacuum filler, I highly recommend using one.

Got an outrageous quote from my dealer for the following, but had a mobile mechanic do it all for $200 labor!

1.) Water pump, Motorcraft I bought from RockAuto (Be patient removing it can be stubborn)
2.) Thermostat and seal
3.) All Tensioners
4.) All Hoses
5.) New Antifreeze
6.) Belts: both

Be careful with hoses off of Amazon, they list as original Ford OEM, but the ones sent to me were not.

Thanks for the heads up digitaltrucker...

I just pulled the trigger buying everything on Amazon because it was cheaper, if they are not FORD OEM Motorcraf I will send them back...
Because I was saving $1600 I ended up buying an ACdelco electric ratchet (Brushless motor) and a decent vacuum kit, so I ended up paying total about $550.
Money in good tools are never wasted...

Anyway the difficult part numbers to find were...Serpentine Belt

MOTORCRAFT JK6553

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=8900&jsn=1457

AC belt

MOTORCRAFT JK4377B

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=8900&jsn=1456

Y damaged pipe... literally 2 hours to find it... because it was under heat and not cooler section.

MOTORCRAFT KH810

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=6892&jsn=1399

Wish me luck!

PS: I also decided to not replace the alternator pulley... I will check it but I am pretty sure the dealer would have told me to replace it in case it was bad...

got my first order at rock auto MOTORCRAFT VC13G Coolant / Antifreeze
Type: Concentrated $ 15.38 $ 0.00 2 $ 30.76 Shipping Ground $ 10.99 Tax
$ 2.51 Order Total
$ 44.26 Visa

My 2015 F150 calls for WSS-M97B44-D2, but Ford approved the yellow one (see attachment)
So, I will upgrade from orange to yellow.

44.26$ shipped for 2 gal of motorcraft coolant, not bad.

I would second the vacuum filler to make it easier. You can really make either method work. I replaced the water pump in my old truck with the 3.5. Not a bad job.

Done, with more than $1100 saving free cold beer for everybody!

The good news:

- not tooo difficult, took me 5 hours just because I am slow and enjoy every second.
- No leaks
- no more "tin tin tin tin" noise when the engine is running
- old red cooland was clear, probably changed 1-2 years ago... not much junk came out from the coolant flush

the bad news:

- frecking pan cake compressor is not capable to build up vacuum
- found upper hose radiator in bad shape with the internal wall damaged, flaking out rubber everywhere:

replacement already ordered
- I forgot to put in N so I could not replace the AC belt, will do together with the spark plugs, so I can rotate the crank easily
