Default I declined a $1600 repair, water pump (F150 2015 3.5 EB)

To me it is a little bit steep.
The truck is an old lady, 176K miles. Water pump has a knocking noise and needs to be replaced. There is also small coolant leak from the outlet hose that need to be replaced as well.

I am confident I can fix my truck in my drive way.
Kindly asking what water pump to you suggest for my F150 2015 3.5 EB, or if you have any other tip for me.

Thanks in advance.

That's a bit high yes. If you are handy with some wrenches I'd say go for it and save yourself some scratch. I'd recommend Motorcraft pump and thermostat as well. Here is a video to help you out. Truck in the video is also a 2015.

You might consider doing a colant flush prior to the water pump changeout. Use only distilled water, not tap water for any coolant mixing or top offs.
BTW in order to get a 50/50 mix after a flush you need to be sure you have drained enough water to allow the 100% antifreeze to mix with the risidual distilled water in the block to obtain a 50/50 mixture.

In my case and on final flush (rinse with distilled water ) 9 qts were drained, refilled with 100% antifreeze (Motorcraft Gold Concentrated) to obtain approximately 43% solution. Cooling system has a capacity of 4.6L V8 engine with 1 row radiator 19.5L (20.6 quarts). Coolant "top offs" over the next year brought antifreeze level to approximately 50/50.
Note: my local oil change place accepted my used antifreeze for recycling

That is very high. You can get a Motorcraft OEM water pump at Rock Auto for around a hundred dollars. I would change it out myself.

To me from my time working in the automotive business, mostly at new car dealerships from 1978 - 2003 that price is waaaay high but then again I am not current on what dealer charge for repairs any more. As stated above buy a Motorcraft water pump from Rockauto for $123.00, & get a Motorcraft thermostat for $19.33 & do the job yourself & save yourself a bunch of change.

I’ve had good luck with a gates.

2nd the recommendation to do a coolant flush before changing pump. Search YouTube for: fordtechmakeuloco diy flush

highly recommend changing out belt, tensioner and all idlers at same time. Almost no extra labor and so worth it. (I used a gates kit).

I don’t know the 3.5, but was pretty quick/easy to do all this in my 4.6. The time/effort to do the diy flush first is well spent IMO. Good luck.

Infinite thanks to all of you! Awesome.
Sorry for my late response, I was/am fixing my son 12VDC toy car for his birthday....(upgraded from stone age lead acid battery to Kobalt 80V... , 3 time more range now and better acceleration/less weight)

Anyway here my bucket list
1) water pump
2) belt
3) tensioner
4) all idlers
5) coolant (Motorcraft Gold Concentrated)
6) thermostat
7) distilled water
8) new hose/Y adapter leaking fix

Here the leak (behind the cooler)

Still more homework to do. I keep you posted!

make sure you got a motorcraft stat.

Might want to add vacuum fill tool for filling coolant (I don’t know how hard it is to avoid air pockets on a 3.5)

Just to add a clarification
In 2020 my refill after flush was with Motorcraft Gold Concentrated and it was about $25 a gallon back then. I recently searched for Motorcraft Gold Concentrated and the prices (with shipping) were very, very, high. I am about to perform another flush on my 2007 F150 and this time I am changing to Zerex G05 Phosphate Free Antifreeze / Coolant Concentrate 1 GA $19.06/EA (Qty: 3 gallons) from Walmart with free shipping for a total of $57.18. You need to verify that the coolant that you use meets the requirements of your truck's (or Ford's) most recent specifications

I have not changed a water pump on a 2013 so the following may not apply to your vehicle. In the old days a common error in water pump installations was a failure to seal the threads of bolts that penetrated the water jacket and a slow leak would develope along the threads. Most water pump bolts do not penetrate the water jacket so again, this may not apply in your installation, just something to be aware of.
