Hi everyone. I bought a 2008 F150 and am trying to program my door lock feature on the outside of the drivers door. I don't know the factory security code or the previous owners security code. Is there any way to reset or bypass this so I can set my own codè? Any help would really be appreciated.

I lost code on an older escape..I went in to ford and had to show the title and id..they were gonna charge me 35 bucks..but did it for free.
at the time there was no other choice if you lost the master code
should be a card in the owners manual

 

I thought I may have to go to the dealership. A friend of mine is a salesman at a Ford dealership I will ask him for help. Thanks for the help, it's much appreciated.

 

You don't have to go anywhere. Posts all over the internet including this forum. It's potentially in different places depending on the year.

A little searching either this forum or Google and you will soon have the code - if I knew where your year's is located I would have linked directly to it.

You CANNOT change that code. You CAN add your own code, but the factory code remains active.
