So you know how after about 60k miles you need to replace the wiper switch because the wipers wont turn off. They get stuck on intermittent.

Thats what happened, and I fixed it by replacing the switch. I used the factory part from ford dealership. But after changing the part, the highbeams are behaving strangley.

After turning on the car, the highbeams wont stay on if you pull the lever all the way. They turn right back off. but, after i drive for a short period of time, they work as expected.

If i use the old wiper switch, the highbeams behave normally (but then the wipers are stuck on).

any ideas?
