Ok I get the stupid award! I have a 2001 F150, I took off the backseat head rest. Then put it back in - except I turned it backwards. Now it is stuck. The bar with the notches, is in the slot that does not have the release button. I took it to my Fort Mill Ford dealer - useless - said too bad. Only thing he knew to do was to take off the seat - rip out the upholstery and could not be sure he would be able to get it loose. Now I can't lay down my rear seat - big problem.
