It ran just as smooth as new home. I stopped, launched it, redlined it, all that good stuff. Performed fine, blew through 1st and part of 2nd. That's not to say the plug issue won't return.

Yep, 17k miles. I wonder if this is a thing if it'll take 17k more miles to show up again or if it'll happen quicker the next time.

Dome and gloom?

Or reality

Got a borescope...then you have to pull the turbo for mechanical inspection..

You think those SP pieces escaped without harm? on the first stroke of the piston...

Possibly but NOT likely...

How many engines you worked on this high tech that you have been into? since you seem to know..wow..

That engine deserves and needs a compression and leak down test at a minimum on the affected cylinders.

Default My opinion.

As stated, I don't doubt the Ford engineers could mess around and figure it out but not the local stealership. The motor definitely isn't blown or anything. It wasn't smoking, knocking, ticking, or even throwing any current codes. It was just bucking at cruise speed, had an oiled intercooler, etc. I see them replacing the turbo(s), intercooler, plugs, and calling me to pick it up honestly. With all that said, the total opposite is always possible, I just don't see it happening.

Hi, as a retired dealer Mechanic, Service Advisor, and Shop Foreman, I find it appalling that you modify your truck, experiment with it, drag race it Etc. Then hide your tune, expect Ford to fix it for you, for free, and refer to them as a stealership. Sounds more like you are the Stealer customer.

Take it easy. Tuning a truck is not experimenting and it's nothing the truck shouldn't more than handle. Towing the max payload is much more strain on it than a damn tune. Drag racing? What about it? You're telling me that if I hold the truck at wide open throttle for 1/4 mile that I'm somehow abusing it? It's not like I'm flashing a 3500 stall and hitting it with a 200 shot on slicks and skinnies. For what I paid for this truck new you're damn right it's on them to fix it. Give me a break man.
