Default Gas Mileage Improvement

Good afternoon!

Looking for suggestions on mgp improvements! 2011 F150 XLT SuperCrew 3.5L Ecoboost. 150,000 mi.

I used to get ~19-21 mgp. It went down to 13mpg. So I replaced spark plugs. Replaced engine air filter. Ford flushed the fuel line injector. So now I'm back up to ~17-18 mpg! It's a great improvement, so what else can I do to keep it going up?

Keep everything maintained as well as keeping tires properly inflated. That will help a little. What will help more is driving habits.
No warming up the engine every morning in the driveway, start, let idle for 30 seconds and head for the road..There is absolutely no reason to warm up an engine for 10-15 minutes in the driveway. Slow down, no 80 mph on the freeway, avoid jack rabbit starts. Driving habits have more to to with fuel consumption than these so called "tune ups" of today.
Summer blended gas is on its way along with warmer temperatures, you should see even a little more improvement in your mileage.

Depending on where you live, once the summer blend of fuel hits the pumps, you MPG will increase. I lose about 2MPG on winter blend fuel and even more when the temps drop.

Follow the maintenance schedule, using only top-quality parts and recommended procedures. Re-read the owner's manual. Read this TSB & the ones in its caption:

Thanks for the tips everyone. Yes, the summer blend should get me back to where I'm used to. Also, good reminders about the driving technique.

Just a thought: would flushing and refilling my differential fluid help? Dealer recommended it, but I'm not so sure...

Renewing gear oil will not offer any improvements to your gas mileage. Follow your owners manual as far as fluid changes and not your dealer looking for extra service revenue. Never heard the term of "differential flush" before.
After 150k of use, I can see a "maintenance" benefit to using a suction gun to remove the old oil only and dispensing the new with a clean suction gun or squeezing up to a few quart bottles into the diff.I would never pay someone to do this simple task.

If the differential has so much friction that changing the oil would affect MPG, it would be so hot that it would catch fire & melt down. So no - the dealer is just offering you ways to give him money.

Make sure your tires are aired up properly.

thanks for your suggestion. So Ford’s maintenance schedule says to replace the 4x4 fluid at 150k. I’m at 149k. Are you saying your ok with just topping it off instead of emptying and completely refilling it? I haven’t done it before and this certainly sounds way easier.
