Default Fuel Line modification

I've decided to install a Pollak brand 6-port fuel valve where my reservoir / tank selector switch thing used to be. There is nothing now and I want both tanks functional. I'm doing this because Ford wants $300 for this part.
To convert the system, I will have to modify the fuel lines.

My question is: What is the fuel fitting of choice to replace the original Ford fuel socket that goes onto the reservoir and is held in place with the plastic hairclip?

Thanks,

I may have posted this in the wrong place, my truck is a 1987 F150 with a I-6 / C6.
