Default Front End Woe's

I have a 2003 Ford F150 Supercab (5.4l) 2wd. 315000 Miles, Still running like a champ. However. I recently took it to the shop I normally use for generalized preventative maintenance for a front end alignment and the service tech said they were not going to be able to do it this time. I am in need of new inner & outer wheel bearings and upper ball joints & control arms. I was advised that the wheel bearings needed to be replaced asap but the rest could wait until a later date. I was not in jeopardy of the ball joints falling apart for several more months. I am having the wheel bearings done at the beginning of the week.

Any recommendations for anything else that I should go ahead and replace just to be on the preventive side. I have had this truck for a good long while and even with the high mileage it still has a lot of life left in it. Just don't want any "surprises" later on with something that I should have had done and it result in ole faithful being found on the road dead. LOL

Thanks for any advice!

If your shocks are 2+ years old, I suggest you replace the rear shocks 1st and then the front shocks. Since the service tech will have to remove the disc brake calipers to replace the wheel bearings, have the tech also install new brake pads and if possible grease the steering and front suspension components that have Zerk fittings.
