Default Battery feels weak when starting

Hello, I have a 1983 F150 and for the past few weeks my startups have been kind of weak. I have charged the battery multiple times and its only 6 months old. I have just recently changed the external voltage regulator. My friend tells me there may be something leeching my battery, but I can't tell what it may be. I don't have a stereo system or anything like that just a simple radio. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

The original battery cables are now 20+ years old. Recommend you replace at least the cable that connects the negative battery terminal to the engine block. Also remove and clean the engine ground strap connectors and their mounting bolts from the body or frame. Don't overlook cleaning the engine block or head with a wire brush where these straps are attached.
Good grounds are necessary to get the utmost power from your battery and charging circuits.
