Default fix a bad dent

hey all. i was driving today, looked down, and the person in front of me slammed on the breaks and i hit them. i wasnt going fast buy i have a dent in the left side of my bumper. the dent is right where the plastic and metal meet, and its bent back and cracked. how can i straighten the dent back? im not gonna cry over a crack being there, but i want to take care of the dent. thanks

Upload a picture. I would take the bumper off and try and pound it out with a hammer.

man, i didnt even think about that. ill upload a picture in a sec, i cant seem to find my connecty cable for my phone

heres the pic of the dent. probably only 2x2 inches, but the trucks my baby, and i want to fix the dent as best as i can

put a piece of cardboard on the chrome before you hit it so you don't scratch the finish. I would also get the metal hot from the inside before hitting it.

there was minimal damage. they didnt bother to call the insurance company about it. i was only doing 5- 10 miles and hour, so it couldve been much, much worse.

and can i use a rubber mallet and a blowtorch for this?

If you heat it enough to work the metal you will discoler th chrome I would start looking at the pick a part yards or check some of the on line venders like LMC or even ebay or craigs list and get your babey back straight again

I doubt you would be able to pound that back out with a rubber hammer bumpers tend to have some impact resistance (not so much in your case considering speed) but some.
