Default Engine Oil Temperature Sensor High? wrong oil?

I have a 2006 f150 5.4

I have had my check engine light on for a while now. I need my inspection sticker renewed next month. I was told that if your engine light comes on even after you replace the error part, you have to go to ford and have them shut off your light... lol yeah NO! i took it to a friend and it gave me this error the P0198 error.... I called autozone to see how to fix this. The guy told me if i put the wrong oil in my truck that it could cause that error to appear. Well i put 20w50 in it... it's supposed to have 5w10... is this likely? i am changing my oil completely tomorrow, but can this be a possibility?

20W50 in the 5.4L would be a huuuuugee no no... your lucky you didnt cause any damage to the motor. And your supposed to run 5W20, I dont think they even make a 5W10.
