Default EXPENSIVE Windshield Replacement with camera? - ??

Rock chip caused a crack that spread from center bottom of windshield through my field of vision. I called Safelite and due to an alignment of a camera that "only 5% of F150's have" I'm looking at a $800 windshield. What "camera" are they talking about and what is it used for?

Get used to high costs associated with that lane-keeping BS. Alignments will be in the $2K range.

that is absolutely 100% incorrect, alignments cost no more than a standard one

only thing is I don't have lane assist - unless I have it and I'm completely clueless on how to turn it on.

Maybe while you're in warranty, but the Hunter alignment machine in development to work with those systems (not just Ford's) is going to be more than triple the cost of the previous machine.
