Default Engine Rebuilding

Im looking at rebuilding a 300 I6. What are some things you would recommend the machine shop to do to the block and head?
THanks

Default Regular Stuff:

The usual things: rebore cylinders, check block deck height for uniformity cylinder to cylinder, check line bore of the mains and camshaft, magna-flux the head for cracks and check for warping and resurface as required, port and relieve the intakes and exhausts, three-angle valve job, install roller lifters and rockers.

If the shop technicians are really into performance improvements, install larger intake valves, and a very important balancing of the rotating and reciprocating components. And if you want to go whole-hog, install forged pistons and Total Seal piston rings. Then send the head, valves and pistons to SwainTech for some ceramic coatings. http://www.swaintech.com/

With a mild cam and headers you'd have one sweet-running engine producing a few hundred horses with better fuel mileage and durability.
