Default dead miss

Hey everybody. I have a problem and i'm hoping somebody can help.
I have a 2001 F 150 Lariat Supercrew 4 X 4 5.4 Tritan. It has a dead miss that I can NOT get rid of. I have installed: a new fuel filter, all new autolite AP103 spark plugs, all new coils, all new injectors and checked for vacuum leaks(none found), yet it still has the same miss. I am at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Time to do a cylinder leak down or compression test, old spark plugs should have told you where to start.

In addition to the above I always encourage an inspection of the cylinders with a borescope too. It really helps rule out a catastrophic failure if you can see into the cylinder. Also. How does the oil look?

I had just done an oil change a few days before. It was dark as usual...nothing out of the ordinary. I change the oil by color so it actually gets changed more often than the requirement. I am going to do a compression test but it will have to wait. I work on the river and will be leaving for a month in a day. I am thinking #5 may be the culprit. I recently had it spit that plug and I put an insert in. May have head damage.

Did you notice any odd swirls that looked like it may have been fuel in the oil? That will tell you that your issue is ignition related.

No I didn't but I didn't look for it. I still have the old oil so I will look at it in the morning.
