Dead alternator
Well, I havent really looked at the alternator in my truck but should be fairly simple.
1) Disconnect your battery ( at least I always do )
2) Loosen serpentine belt and slip off ( inspect it since it's gonna be off, might be good time to replace )
3) disconnect alternator, usually just plastic or metal snap with wiring on front or side of alternator
4) MOST alternators have 4 bolts they sit on, loosen em up, ( use some PB blaster to help loosen if it's been on there a LONG time )
5) Swap alternator out, bolt into place, hook it back up and reinstall your serpentine, checking to make sure you have the right pattern. Reconnect battery....
It's been a few years since I've had to do one, am I forgetting anything guys?

Ugh, I've helped fix too many cars in crappy weather. How is it friends cars are ALWAYS to the point where it won't move and you have to go to IT rather them bring it to YOU where you have a heated garage with light! lol
