completely dies
i have a ford f150 xlt 2014 with around 52,000 km the other day i was backing my boat into my steep driveway and had to put it in 4 wheel drive it felt like when i was trying to back up that it was jolting while reversing. So after that put it in 2 wheel drive drove into town and about 2 hrs later driving home i hear a BIG clunk (metal on metal) sounded like it was coming from under the truck around where transmission sits and my truck losses all power and i pull over put it in park. Truck is still running but i have no power to windows, air conditioning but the radio was still working, i was able to turn ignition off and take keys out but the truck would continue to run and i was not able to shut off vehicle. door unlock on key chain didn't work 4 ways didn't work. called ford and tow truck and had to remove fuse for fuel pump to kill engine. then disconnected battery. this was on Saturday went to ford today and they told me the mechanic cant find anything wrong with my truck, cant put it on the computer because battery was disconnected. I asked the lady at the counter if i could talk to mechanic to tell him exactly what happened and the mechanic want nothing to do with what i have to say because she came back and said that he will test drive it again and if it doesn't act up it is good to go. Anybody have any experience with this?
