Color matched mirrors??

I was wondering about the standard mirrors that have the top half painted, are they really just a cap that goes onto the mirrors? Thanks for the clarification.

The KR mirrors are painted on the top half.

I think the FX2 mirrors are as well. You can also have them painted to match somewhere local.

Found out that they are just another piece you put over the mirror which also needs to be painted separately. I guess I'll just have the whole mirror painted by a shop.
