Default problem

I have a 2004 F150 that when I have the a/c on and come to a stop at a red light the rpms drop real low and has sometimes cut off. What are your suggestions?

I would look at the IAC which controls what happens when the truck is at Idle. Usually you can clean it by taking it off and soaking in WD40 and a small brush

What he said. Might have to take it to Ford for a re-flash. Or get a programmer and up the idle with it...

I have the same issue with my truck which also displays a yellow check enging icon on the dash. What and where is an IAC and how difficult is it to conquer? BTW, great forum, lots of good stuff.

IAC stands for Idle Air Control. Its mounted on the side of the throttle body.
