Default Changing Plugs on a FlexFuel engine

Hey guys, about to replace the plugs on my 2010 F150 and wondering if their is a brand most lean to for fuel economy. Was going to just go stock but MPG is king for me. Reason I ask is years ago I put E3's in my Ranger which was a flex and it ran great..... until I filled it up with E85 a couple months later and the thing crapped out within a couple miles. Had to have it towed and after everything checked out on a hunch I changed out the plugs with factory and it fired right up. Wasn't sure if that was normal or my horrible luck. That ranger was an 04 so I'm sure a lot changed in 2010 and with a different motor. Should that be something I need to be concerned about?
