Default Carpenter/mechanic

Lets start out on the same page. Little bit about me. I am a master carpenter, (some will agree.) i have owned several 4x4's. Recently i bought a 95 f150 4x4 xlt 5.8. Seem to be a sound truck for $1500.00. Understand, i have always hired mechanics. But being partly unemployed, it has been a $2000.00 experence. Fuel pumps, frt. Wheel bearings, warn lockouts. ( 3 screws never engaged). Smog pump froze, serpentine belt.new steering components, ect... inside sleeve was heat welded, to the axle. had to cut it off, with a torch. without distorting the axle. what a joke. i have a blue axle now. . installed a new caliper. took 20 minutes, i am impressed. other than tires (buckshot mudders 1/4" of tread ) it is a sound truck @ $3500.00. 223,105 miles. motor in top condition, 1/2 of qt. of oil lost between 3000 mile oil changes.. dont know where it goes. .if this forum does not have a sense HUMOR, tell me now. i cant control mine. goodnight.

Look and see if your radius arms have paint taken off of them. It sounds like your tires are rubbing. If that is the case, don't worry about it.

Thanks for the tip. All seems well, no paint missing.
