Default A/C compressor not engaging

I have a 2013 5.0l f-150 and my a/c compressor will not engage I've check my refrigerant level, fuse, relay and have done a EOEO test and all of that is fine. My cooling fans run at 100% when I cut the a/c on and stay on until I turn the truck off. I've read other threads with very similar symptoms and I'm thinking it's the low pressure switch from what I've read. My question is finding the switch/sensor. I've traced the low pressure line from the compressor to my firewall and nothing.

How did you check the Freon level ?

I just used one of the basic recharging tools with the gauge it read just under 100 psi on the low side

Take to a pro and let them look at it. Using a Freon can's gauge is not the way to diagnose the system.

I agree using that is not ideal but I'm trying to avoid paying someone just yet. I've compared my reading I get with that gauge to an identical truck and they are the same 110-120 psi on the low pressure side more then enough for the low pressure cutoff switch to allow the compressor to come on. My original question is where is the low pressure cutoff switch located? I haven't been able to find any info on where it is on these trucks and want to rule that easy fix out.

Open hood, to the right of the battery. Small with 2 wires coming out of it on ac line, only one.

There is no low pressure cutoff switch like the old trucks have, the system is entirely electronic in it uses a single variable resistance pressure transducer as mentioned but does not act the same way and if you jumper it like you would the old trucks, you're likely to fry sensitive electronic controls. The system incorporates an evap temp sensor to control compressor on time. Long thread about using a resistor to fool the system to allowing the compressor to run longer for better cooling but I digress.

Take your truck to a pro before you create a very expensive repair.

Thank you Rnlcomp, It hasn't been easy to find any info on this AC system.

Yeah Ford mucked up the system, calling it advances in technology but in reality it's more to the point of making them impossible for the average tinkerer to do anything to. By the way I forgot to mention there is a fuse in the battery junction box under the hood you can check, F30 it's a 10A fuse that supplies power to the a/c clutch relay.

Question Did you resolve this issue? If so, what was the cause? I have a 2014 Ford F150 5.0l
