Default Brief Battery Light

My battery indicator light came on for about a minute and then turned off. Anything would be helpful before I dive into problem.

Test the battery, verify connections. Pretty shallow problem, usually... so don't dive.

Battery light usually indicates a problem with the charging system, alternator, connections, etc, not the battery.

Year make model mileage will help? How old is current battery? When my 08 did that, it was the alternator.

it's a 14 5.0 with 136421 miles. I bought it used back in February of 2019 and battery isn't stamped nor can I find a date of purchase on carfax.

Usually, sure. But why not start with something simple, easy, and cost-effective first? Testing the battery and checking connections are both free.

If the battery light comes on it's the charging system, not the battery.

Exactly right. When that light comes on, it's the a alternator about 99% of the time.

Easy to troubleshoot if you have a multimeter.... place leads on the battery with engine off... should read 12.4 vdc plus. now start motor and repeat... should read 14 plus vdc this tells yo the alt is charging the battery is charging properly.

Fully charged unloaded battery should be 12.6v. Anything less is not fully charged or there is an issue with the battery.
