Brakes?!? Pulling to one side.
I've got a 2015 SuperCrew XLT FX4 with the 3.5 EcoBoost.
Recently developed some bad shimmy/shake and pulling towards the passenger side during braking. Highway speeds was the worst. Pulled the front wheels and replaced the brake pads and rotors and immediately felt much better with the shimmy/shake - none. However, the pulling to the passenger side is the same or maybe a little worse - or maybe it's only worse because it's not being masked by the shake.
I'm thinking a failed caliper on the drivers side, almost like only the passenger side is actually compressing during braking. I jacked up the front and spun both wheels - both seem so spin the same (freely). Had someone apply the brake while I try to spin the wheel and both wheels had braking pressure. Not sure what else to test before I just replace the caliper and hope that's the problem.
I like to do the work myself, just looking for some things to look out before I go and just replace the calipers.
Thoughts?

Do the wheels spin relatively free w/o brakes applied? Some things come to mind. Caliper slides binding, faulty brake hardware, a brake hose which has broken down internally and as mentioned, a caliper. Whatever you find as the cause and change, do the other side too.
I'll have to dig in a little more on the caliper slides binding and brake hoses... Any ideas on how to test for brake hose failure?
This is at least the 3rd thread I've seen about this within a week... I'm starting to see a trend here of calipers sticking at pretty low mileage on these trucks. I've been wondering if one of mine is as well. Definitely sounds like a sticking caliper, and you are going to want to get that fixed soon before you destroy your new pads and rotors.
I'm not sure which one would be the faulty one in your situation though. I would lean towards the passenger side is biting too much, but the driver's side could be biting too little.
