brake lights

hey guys i just bought a 2008 f150 fx4 and the brake lights only come on when i press the pedal completely to the floor is there a way to adjust it?

Im not familiar with a way to adjust it. Take a look under the dash and brake pedal and find the sensor to see if there is an adjustable screw.
