Brake Issue - Soft Pedal?

Quick update for anyone who might be interested . . . .
It'll go back to the shop in a week or two. Whether the truck is running or not, the pedal goes to the limit of it's travel on the first press (if I give it some pressure). The second and third tighten it up considerably. Zero effect on actual stopping and holding power. If I do not give it a little extra pressure it will not depress to the floor.
I think I can rule out the power boost system given that it happens when the truck is not running, but I'll let the experts make that diagnosis. Probably a master cylinder in the early stages of failure, just leaking internally.
I'll let you know.

Any update on what the issue was? I have a 2017 that has 110,000 on it. I did a pads only brake job with never opening up the system just pushing the pistons back and now I have a soft spongy pedal that goes almost all the way to the floor.
