Default PCV Valve

Is it normal for a PCV valve to have some oil residue on the outside? It's also really audible sucking/vibrating noise at idle.(This is a PCV valve right??)

That hose doesn't appear to be fully seated.. Pop the hose off by releasing the blue clip and try to get it connected fully.

It's not uncommon to have to replace the valve's grommet if the valve's fitment is not very snug anymore. I have do it several times over the years. It also doesn't hurt to spray some carb cleaner into the valve as the engine is running just to clean out the valve's plumbing.

I confirmed that it was seated fully. The hose itself is so rigid and the valve is wobbly and has to be pulled to the side to get the hose on. Like it doesn't fall naturally into position. Normal to have oil residue visible on the outside?

Pull the PVC valve and make sure the oring is seated correctly. Should be a nice snug fit into the grommet not wobbly.
