Default Brake issue or not?

Hi all -
Have an 05' Screw with 116,xxx miles on it. I am starting to feel a shimmy/shake pulsing when braking. My first thought is the brakes/rotors. Let me know your thoughts on that and also - I've done brakes on other cars before but not on this truck. Is it pretty straight forward? Any "gotchyas" to think about? Any recommendations (assuming it is the brake system) on pads and rotors?

Thanks!

A shimmy in the steering wheel when braking points to warped front rotors. A pulsing pedal points to warped rears. They are pretty straight forward to replace, no trickery. Not sure if the special caliper compressor tool is needed for the rear or not?

Vibration in steering wheel and pedal are fronts. Seat and floor is rear.

I picked up new pads and rotors for the front yesterday in hopes of gettin er' done today. The pads were Wagner Thermo Quiets @50.99. The rotors are Wearever and were $107.98 for the two front. I think there is a price difference based on if you have 6 lugs vs 7. I have 6. The other question I have is if I end up doing the rears, is there something special to do with the E-brake? I thought I read somewhere at some point that there is?
Thanks all!

the e-brake doesn't require doing anything differently but it may sometimes make it VERY hard to get the rear rotors off. usually the only hope is to wail on them with a huge hammer until they eventually break loose. this can also sometime cause the e-brake pads to fall off of the backing plate in which case you'll have to replace them as well if you use your parking brake.

$107 for the pair. I think I will end up having to do the rear also. I started the fronts on Sunday and ran into an issue with the right front and trying get a bolt loose on the break pad carrier...I went through 3 13mm sockets and a breaker bar. Of course these were not the best in tools either. So I still have that rotor to replace. I still feel a slight vibration. I certainly appreciate all the feedback!
