Bluetooth problem
here there is a list of potential solutions, I am not sure if you did all of them, but just as a guidance in case of:
- Restart your phone.
- Forget the SYNC device on your phone and reset network settings (if applicable).
- In SYNC settings, delete and re-pair your phone.
- Check Bluetooth and app permissions.
- Ensure media audio is enabled for SYNC.
- Update SYNC software if possible.
- Perform a factory reset on SYNC (as a last resort).

baywater - Identical symptoms to my 2023! Have done ALL the resets, repairs and even a master reset did nothing- It is not usable and highly disappointing on a NEW truck. Please let us know if any solution is found.

A few weeks ago a dealer replaced the "apim" in my truck. It resolved the phone audio cut out, the loud noise when streaming audio, and the delayed response (3-4 seconds) for the backup camera to populate when shifting into reverse. It did not resolve the power on board appearing every time I start the truck (I have already done numerous resets myself). At that time the service writer at the dealer told me there were 6 cases with Ford engineers with the same symptoms.
At a total of 4 visits to resolve any of the problems (power on board) with the electronics, the dealer replaced the battery. Counting the original in this 2022 F150 Platinum, this is the 3rd battery as the dealer said it tested low. Poer on board still appears it has also developed the stuck-in 8th gear problem and lunging into intersections upon a stop, I am suspicious there is a direct short to ground on the electronics. I have not tested it myself yet but will be removing the negative battery cable and putting a meter or test light between the detached cable and the negative post.
The truck will not go back into service until the middle of January 2024 as I cannot give it up. I will be driving it much more between now and then. If after that service it does not come out perfect including the transmission, I will start the process of the lemon law.
Good luck everyone.
Ford Motor Co. can you assist me as well. My truck is back at the dealership again for this issue as they cannot figure out what is going on. I am getting a little upset with all the wasted time driving and waiting as long as money for gas to take the truck to the dealership for this issue. Thank you

any updates on this? I just bought a left over 23 shelby f150 new and i am having the same exact issues. I just dropped it off for service today fingers crossed.
I'm at my whit's end with my Ford Sync and my Bluetooth.
I've had four F150's in the last 10 years and this could be my last.
In 2024, how can connecting a phone to your vehicle via Bluetooth not be the simplest of tasks. Every time my truck is at Ford, I get a rental truck and EVERY other brand connects flawlessly to my phone. Just by looking in this set of forums alone, FORD must know its a known issue.
I don't use Android Auto, I just connect my Samsung S20 Ultra to my 2022 F150 via Bluetooth. 20% of the time it connects fine. 50% of the time it connects, i can't actually hear the other person as its so garbled that I end up turning off my Bluetooth and talking on my phone using the phone's hands free which at highway speeds is hard to hear. When i say garbled, i mean it sounds like a cross between and electrical storm and being underwater on my phone. People on the other side of call will often tell me that they can't hear me. Most of the time when it connects, it will not hang up when i hang up the call and will usually stay connected to my Sync for up to 2 minutes after. Then it MAY or mostly MAY NOT, be still connected to my truck. My phone will then not connect back so I will often have to turn my truck off at an intersection and open my door to totally disconnect my phone and restart it all to get it back connected.
I have done everything in my power to try to fix it. I have done all the soft fixes like disconnecting and forgetting my phone, factory resetting my phone and my Sync, I've had Ford do every update that they possibly could and they even replaced the APIM module. I've called Samsung and had their technician go on my phone remotely and work on it while its connected to my truck and they have run out of options. I just had my truck in the shop in Oct 2024 and they did all the latest updates.
I have literally tried every suggestion I have been able to find on the internet.
I just want to be able to talk on my phone while driving in my truck. That's it.
