Battery light
Battery on 98 f150 4.2L V6 RWD stays on...
1. Old alternator was bad. Replaced with new alternator, new alternator tested good.
2. Brand new battery, had it tested to be sure. Tested good..
3. Checked ground wire from alternator and checked ground wire from battery. All fine.
4. Checked fuses under dash, all are fine.
5. Checked large fuses under hood, all are fine.
6. All wires checked good from alternator.
7. Installed brand new belt.
Done all this and light is still on......Any clue on what to look for now?

Here's the charging system for a '97 4.6L....should be the same as your ride.If the alternator is working there should be voltage, near 12V, on the wire between the regulator and charge indicator. If the voltage is zero, or near zero, or at ground, the indicator will illuminate.
