What changes do I need to make in order to install a 2004 F250 2WD 5.4 engine in a 1999 F150 extended cab 4x4 that also had 5.4 engine from the factory? Here are some specifics:
1) will the deeper oil pan clear?
2) can I keep the 2004 oil filter/cooler arrangement and clear all obstacles?
3) is there a motor mount adapter that will let me keep the 2004 oil filter/cooler application and mate the engine to the 1999 chassis?
4) how hard is it to install the 2004 engine without taking the intake manifold off first? stinking hard, right?
5) is there an adapter/extension plug and cable to connect my 2004 wire harness to the 1999 firewall connection plug?
Thanks, Hezekiah

Great Site! Not really handy for all DIY maintenance, but great educational and informative stuff.

Default What happened to the login???

I've been using this site for reference quite a bit but now the login username and password aren't working. Can this be fixed? It looks like EBSCO provides access to education and training institutions but what about enthusiast/DIYers??? Do we have to -gasp- pay?
