Airbag Code 19
No light this morning so that is promising. The seat was moved back pretty far back when the mechanic worked on my truck. I moved it forward in hopes it would turn the light off. There are several things that can throw an airbag code...clock spring, blown fuse, short etc. I have addressed or eliminated all of the above.
Another one is that Ford didn't make the cords for the airbag under the driver side seat detection long enough...meaning if you have the seat at its furthest position it could stretch the wires causing a code.

Wow this has been a gigantic disaster. The dealership sold my mechanic a defective part which made them not be able to properly fix my truck. Mechanic asked me to take it over to Covert so I did. Covert is trying to charge me $89 diagnostic fee for figuring out that the clock spring they sold my mechnic is defective. I'm like well you already got my money through the part. I will be requesting them to waive that charge but I'm not hopeful.
I spoke with the dealership earlier about that recall and they said only select trucks were in that recall and mine was not one of them. They could've been full of it...since I have not heard from them about billing of for the new diagnosis. I'll bring it up again if I hear from them. At this point I just want my truck back and working properly and with a functioning airbag system. It has been quite the ordeal as you can see from my original post was on March 31, 2012.
Update:
Ford sold the mechanic a defective clock spring so it was the clock spring once again. The mechanic replaced the clock spring at no charge and Ford dealership didn't ding me for a diagnostic fee so it didn't cost me any extra dough. The airbag light is no longer flashing 1-9, thank goodness. Hopefully this thread will help future members figure out their airbag issue.
