Anyone have any success / horror stories with semi-synthetics? I personally use Valvoline DuraBlend, and have for years, with great success.
As for an additive fav, I like Lucas Oil Stabilizer. Works well in worn or older engines, such as the diesel I had in a Blazer. (POS ran great afterward!)
As for mileage on synthetics, I know my dad runs Mobil 1 in one of his cars, and changes the filter only at 3500 miles, tops off the oil, and goes another 3500 on the same oil before changing. No engine problems, and great performance.

Iused Semi-Synthetic in my wife's truck until recently. Thats because she wanted the Motorcraft 5w20 and its a Semi Synthetic. No complaints. I just changed it to Mobil 1 5w20.

I have never herd anything bad about mobil 1.
my friends dad is a auto perfectionest, and he runs it in everything he owns.
his 06 gto, his range rover, and his profile.
