PART-I
1) Check #18 10Amp Fuse.
2) If blown, replace.
3) Turn ignition to ON.
4) If #18 Fuse blows go to PART-II
PART-II
1) Disconnect battery. Let stand 10 minutes.
2) Unplug the AIRBAG module found just above and to the right of your accelerator pedal. Usually a blue/black box about 3" x 5"
3) Reconnect battery.
4) Replace #18 Fuse
5) Turn ignition to ON position
See if speedo/odometer works again.
If yes... the airbag control module (ACM) has a faulty CAP, Internal Fuse or MOV. Repair or Replace ACM

overdrive on/off button located on shift lever right? if it is that wire that runs
thru the shift lever and down the steering columm can short out over time.
if the fuse is blown and continues to blow, I would ck. that wire. if fuse is not
blown I would be looking at the wiring from the vss. that wire flexes a lot with
suspension movement and it is quite common to see breaks in it between the
sensor including right at the plug and about a foot from the plug
thru the shift lever and down the steering columm can short out over time.
