4x4 light intermittently doesn’t illuminate
#21
Well I think I may have figured it out. Talked to a local company that installs those Compustar remote starts and the guy talked about turning the key more than once if it was being funky. I had been jumping in the truck and turning key all the way forward pretty quick before. Next time I got in after autostarting/warming and the 4x lights weren’t coming up, I just slowly and deliberately turned the key all the way forward again a second time and the dash lights went to bright mode (like when you key-start) and the 4x lights came right on. It’s worked several times now. I guess that autostart and the dash settings just interact a little quirky? Oh well.

Well, how cool is that! Thanks for the feedback. When I remote start mine, about the same thing happens until I turn the key. I always do it slowly because I'm afraid if I do it fast, I'll go all the way to start and grind my starter. Not sure if it would actually do that, but that's the reason I do what I do.
Great, now go enjoy the thing.

Zero problem, glad it was a cheap, easy fix!
