I have called every parts place including the dealership. I have an 8.8 front differential. Nobody has a gasket for the cover. The dealership says rtv. Does Ford not make a gasket for the front? Would it be the same gasket as for an 8.8 rear?

Do yourself a favor and buy the Motorcraft RTV silicone sealant, there are a few different ones so get the right one for your application. If you follow the directions and clean both surfaces extremely good, you won’t have any problems. I like to use brake cleaner and a rag for the final cleaning. Be sure to give it the 24 hour cure.
