Default 2015 F150 Rear Brake pads

Its come time to change the rear pads, This has electronic parking brake. The manual says to put the parking Brake to Service mode. Is there another way to do this so I don't have to go to the shop to replace the stinking rear pads.
Maybe disconnect the battery?
Anybody done this
Any help would be appreciated

what kind of mileage does your truck have. I haven't had a newer car or truck that couldn't go over 100K miles and still not need rears.

Never had a car make it 100K on front or rears, any car I have owned. Would not want 100K brakes on my car, just me though. On my 13, did fronts and rears around 37K due to squeals and wobble, they were at least 50% gone. No towing or heavy braking.
