Default 2015 2.7 - No Start - P0627 - No Fuel Pressure

Hey Guys,

I have a 2015 f150 2.7 EcoBoost, W/ 62K. Died the other day with a full tank. Got it in the driveway and now will not start.
So far I have tried the following:
1. Checked fuel pump fuse - Verified ok
2. Checked the Fuel pump relay - Verified ok
3. Checked code and got 2 P0627 codes
4. Tried to start the truck and just kept clicking.
5. Tried to start the truck and pushed the gas pedal down repeatedly and it started for 4-6 sec. then white smoke out the tail pipe and died.
6. Would not start again. Scanner said no pressure to the rail....

Thinking fuel pump... but thought I would check with you guys...

Thank you,
SM

Hello,

I have a 2015 2.7 as well and I created this account because of this post. Oddly enough, this just happened to me today, truck stalled as I was pulling out of a spot. Was low on fuel and assumed my fuel gauge was reading off. Filled it with 5 gallons, primed the system and tried cranking with no luck.

Checked fuse #56 (fuel pump) which was good. Still have to check relay #51 as I did not have a multimeter on me at the time.

Ran a scanner on it and got a bunch of codes but the main two were P0627 Fuel Pump Control Circuit/Open and P00C6 Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low.

I have a feeling it may be the fuel pump driver module or a wiring issue somewhere.

Hopefully will have an update sometime this week.

Update: Have power to the fuel pump driver module, but not to the fuel pump from the module. So module is most likely bad, ordered a new one coming in Tuesday. Fuel pump went bad and ground issue.

I have exactly the same symptoms with a 2012 - looks like the same module. Did it work out?

Default Mine was fixed by replacing the fuel pump. I also replace the pump control module in

In all fairness though I run my truck on empty all the time and so the fuel pump made the most sense.
One potentially helpful point is that the fuel pump is not accessible from only removing the bed of the truck. It is easier to drop the tank.

Ended up being the fuel pump. Swapped the module, still did not start. Brought it into ford and replaced the fuel pump under the powertrain warranty.

Hi Austin, Was this the pump in the gas tank they had to replace ? I am getting the exact same codes and put in new module and same as you, nothing changed. Just curious if its the fuel pump assembly in tank that needs changed

Hi Man,
Is it impossible to swap out the assembly by removing the bed ? I would much rather do it that way given the lack of space to work on my truck.

Judging from this pic it could be easiest to simply lift up the bed to access the pump assembly

Default 2015 3.5 eco boost turning over but not starting. Starving for fuel

Hello, all I hope I can get some help here. I was driving down the hwy this morning when my truck just lost all power. Shot up on dash low battery, swapped batteries and now it seems like it’s starving for fuel. Have 3 codes
P0627,P00C6,P0087. It will turn over and all but just won’t crank up and run. I’ve been reading up and watching videos and it’s leading back to the “Fuel pump control module” but where is this located on the 2015’s? I dropped the spare and there’s nothing Under it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Look at some of the threads about swapping in a larger fuel tank. They describe how to remove and replace the fuel pump. Many also have pictures.
