This high pitched whine on passenger side at
high speeds. It was random and less frequent now more frequent, sustained, and annoying.

I've seen a few threads on idler pulley replacememts... does that sould like least expensive start?

Truck has 54000 miles and is regularly maintenanced. Ford Customer Service reps thought I was crazy until they heard it...they thought I should wait til it gets louder? Of course they are not driving it.

open the hood while the truck is running and listen for the whine coming from the engine bay. if you don't hear the whine under the hood than it is not the idler pulley

I definitely hear it at 60 mph
