1992 F150 Rats got into the cab!
So I've had a 92' F150 sitting in my yard for about 4 years, and I've recently been inspired to restore it to drive able condition, but one big part of doing so is going to be cleaning out the interior. so here's my question: What's the best/most effective way to clean fabric seats? Obviously i can get all the garbage out and scrub the floors and all that, but those seats will be tricky.
Hope this isn't too much of a noob question, im still getting into this whole world of vehicle maintenance. Thanks!

Before going too far, have a good look up under the dash, and in the hidden areas of the engine compartment to see if / how bad they've chewed up the wiring.

Wow! That's great information. I will definitely take a look at the wiring, I'm having issues getting her to run, so maybe the injector wires got chewed. And i guess I'll be taking the upholstery off the seats. and yeah there's some rat nest in the engine bay as well so I'll probably end up hosing it down. Thanks again!

Buy rat poison pellets, and spread it around the area where the truck is parked, and after reassembly, INSIDE the truck (interior, under the hood, on top of the gas tanks...). I've found both of these to be effective:
The 2nd looks cheaper, but for this application, the chunks are too big & difficult to break up, so I think the first is actually a better deal. I've found them locally (at essentially the same prices) at TSC & WalMart.

Throw some dryer sheets, maybe a whole box of them around the entire interior. It will help absorb the smell and probably deter the rats. Otherwise, spraying Fabreze on fabric can help a lot, probably over and over. Good luck.
