Default under seat box and console

Ok, I have my underseat storage box about 85% done. Thinking about painting it with that bed liner stuff. I know I have seen others on here that have used that. How do you like it?

Also, I am thinking about moving my center console back 3 or 4 inches. I am 6'5", so I have the sat all the way back, all the time. And my right arm just hits the back of the console, where the cup holders are. I am thinking, just unbolt it, slide it back, make new holes, bolt it back down. Or, something like that. Has anybody tried this yet? Any ideas, or tips?

Barry, I have use a similar product on my storage bin. It keeps things from sliding around and also keeps things from vibration.

Do you have a flow through console? If so, it's more than likely not going to be that simple, not to mention you'd have a large gap at the front, it it's even possible without serious custom work.

Then I'd think that seems totally possible. I'm not sure how the floor or anything looks, but it seems like it should be possible.

That's what I'm thinking too. There should only be two wires, hot and ground, for the 12 volt plug on the back. No other wires, or duct work, or anything. SHOULD be fairly easy, but I'm sure we've all been down that road before.....

I've been down the "should be easy" road more times than I can count, it's generally NEVER easy. Lol

Oh believe me, I know that. I'm thinking this should be an hour long job. But, I fully expect to be sitting in the garage, three days after I started, scratching my head, saying "I wonder where this part goes"!!

My inexpensive under seat solution. Lowes, long and short planter boxes, some 2x2's and screws and washers, cost less than $20.00 and does everything a $140+ bin does.
