Real easy, or at least a shot. Go down to your local hardware, and grab 3 fender washers, and reuse the nuts on your oval, or buy new ones while you're there. Stick the oval where you want it, stick the fender washers over the pins, and screw away. That should work as long as the pins are long enough for the nuts to grab.
I stuck a small oval on the billet grille of my Ranger, and just used double sick tape, been on there for at least 8 years now. You can see it in this photo, lower corner, drivers side. Different style grille, but would work the same.

I bought a 9” emblem off eBay and 3D printed a mounting bracket. Drilled a few mounting holes for the bracket in the new grill, popped in some plastic rivets, and called it a day. No problems after 20k miles.
