I thought 14.8 mpg through Minnesota on I-90 at 70 mph was bad. That is until I got to South Dakota at 80 mph. 12.7 mpg. There is also a pretty severe cross wind though. How much lower can I go?😳

Wind is the MPG killer in our F150's... no way about it other than going slower.

But I'm curious to see how much lower you can go (without a trailer).

Switch it to 4A and set the cruise control for 90mph. We can get you below 12.

My 19 in a headwind on Interstate, cruise set at 78, Weatherbug said 23 mph head wind, went 360 miles, showed 19.1 mpg. I realize not actual, but still way better than what my 15 Chevy used to show. Would be lucky to get 17, usually around 16 on same trip.

I-40 from Holbrook to Flagstaff, AZ. You can get lower. Really strong head and cross winds. I think I was at like 10mpg.

Take away the air dam below the front bumper, that'll take away 1 mpg at those speeds
