Default Xplan purchasing questions

I've searched high and low and still don't have a clear understanding on the X-plan and exactly what I can expect to pay. For simple math, if the truck sticker price is 40k, with rebates, haggling, X-plan, etc. What can you expect to get the truck for?

Pretty straightforward. Each vehicle has a unique X-Plan price. There is a calculation, often posted. You can use the Ford site to search inventory, and with a tweak have it show X-Plan and other prices. Those given X-Plan pins can log into a site and see the price.

Your understanding is lacking, there is no haggling with X-Plan, and you get all rebates with a few exceptions. Sticker is irrelevant.

I appreciate Rick teaching you how to search.
Now I'll teach you how to use your calculator.

  • Base Invoice is 7% off MSRP. (not incl destination)
  • Accessory invoice is 8% off MSRP.
  • Holdback is 3% MSRP(not incl destination $1195)
  • X-Plan = Invoice - 0.4% + $275 program fee
  • A/Z-Plans= Invoice - Holdback - Advertising Fee + $275program fee
  • D-Plan= A-Plan plus $100
  • A-Plan has a max doc fee of $75.
  • X-Plan has a max doc fee of $100.

You take your X plan pin and go to the X plan website. Build or find the truck you want. The price on the X plan site is what you pay.

It's pretty straightforward once you log in with a pin. I've purchased my last 4 vehicles this way. They can get you on finance charges though, you have to know what they're charging you or better off get pre approved at your local bank if possible.

Ford Credit has nothing to do with X-Plan. Knowledgeable buyers take the offered rate and refi within days, keeping the Ford Credit rebate.

Usually you are better off going through Ford Credit to get their rebate (even though their interest rates suck) and then refinance at your bank or credit union for a much lower interest rate.

I was able get my truck well below X-plan with all the factory and dealer cash available last March. I imagine the deals are even better now on in-stock vehicles. My friend just got 15k of a dealer stock Yukon Denali this weekend. August and September are great "buyers months" if you are looking for a 2016 and can find one close to your specs.

You probably didn't. You still get all the rebates and cash back on top of the X plan price.

Yes, I'm aware. What I meant was my final out the door price was lower than the factory x-plan web site build price. If he's shopping just the x-plan site, he won't see the cash in the trunk ... he'll only see cash on the hood.
