Default XLT to leather mod

I finished up replacing the cloth in my 2016 Sport XLT FX4 with Katzkin leather ... What a pain but what a difference. Thanks to HuskyOwner for posting his thread and giving pointers.

Looks amazing, too bad Katzkin doesn't make a leather steering wheel replacement as well. As that's not leather on xlts.

Looks great.
Are they thicker than the factory Lariats?

Including seat removal, I have about 10.5 hours in them. I think the Katzkins are a very high quality material and they feel thicker than the factory leather I had on my 2012 FX4. Installing them myself saved a minimum of $500 based on the estimates that I got. The whole set was $700 plus shipping.

I put factory take off leather on my wife's 16 Mustang GT about three weeks ago, so I was somewhat familiar with what I was getting into. That being said, the F-150 was more difficult but not anything that the average DIY person with some patience can't do.

Looks very nice. I went with OEM Lariat leather seat covers for my 2016 XLT Screw complete with the rear bench frame from the same Lariat that has the folding down arm rest and cup holder. Been too hot here in Florida to install everything but looking at this makes me want to brave it. Again, looks great!

Looks great! I didn't have the time or patience to do it myself and had my dealership take care of it for me. Took them an afternoon and it came out great. Definitely recommend it. I have the same package and yes, the XLT package I have came with a leather steering wheel.
