Your best bet is to join mustang club of American and get one there (think it takes a few months). Search forms and you find out more info.

X-plan will at best get you to invoice price. I believe you will find a dealer willing to do that and better without an X plan. I would suggest you keep checking dealers.
There is a thread about posting your deal, try and search it out. Many postings about the value or lack of for an "X-Plan".

The TECHNICAL X-Plan requirement for getting pins through membership services is to have a [60-Day minimum membership] in order for your pins to be valid. Since your $50 is for a 12-month (365 days) membership you qualify.

An X-plan pin is not something that can be given away. Ford is very specific about who qualifies to use it.

It's not hard and xplan is the easiest to get. Hell my mom called me last year when she got a explorer last minute. She called me wanting to know if she was getting a good deal. I told her I'll get her a pin and called the xplan number and they could not find my vendor code as I didn't know it off hand. Dealer was waiting on me. Lady at xplan number gave me one of hers as she felt bad lol. Any ford employee can give to anyone, ie friends and family.

I actually have a valid X-Plan PIN from Mustang America when shopping for mine.

I just informed each dealer that I was an X-plan purchaser through another dealer and that I'd order from them instead if they could beat X-plan pricing with Dealer / Doc Fees accounted for.

I had one bite for $800 under invoice and had their doc fees lowered to $267 which is well below X-plan offerings.

Just goes to say that you could bluff your way into an X-plan deal or even better. I had about 4 dealers say that they'd match X-plan but wouldn't beat it so it may be how badly they're looking to make a sale.
