Using the search feature on the forum brings up lots of details on the different pricing plans, their benefits, and a few ways some forum Members feel they beat the X-plan pricing.

From what I've seen, Typically Invoice is about 150 bucks less than x plan. However the dealership can charge you more fees which can add up to more than x plan pricing. To truly know you need to find out what your dealership will charge you for document fees, advertising fees etc...

Maybe because people's negotiating ability is different and dealers are different... Amazing.

I've been looking into this and yes, looks like X-plan is the safest way to to. This way their is a cap on the document fees etc... otherwise dealership can charge on different items. I'm planning on going plan and using incentives to bring it down but the current out of state dealership is saying that the incentive is included in the X-Plan that he gave me which i think is incorrect. Will try different dealerships in few months.

Invoice is definitely cheaper. Some dealers won't do invoice. They really don't have much of a choice as far as x-plan. If they participate in x/a/z plans it's a defined price right on their invoice. You can ask them to see the invoice and they have to show you per the plan.

I believe x-plan is 2% over invoice, so on a 40k truck about 800ish over invoice. These values are approximate.

and it does limit doc fees and weird dealer addons
the dealer gets a skid fee from ford,
i have used x plan three trucks now, always felt happy

having x plan pin, may affect your trade in value. best it to go armed with a a few certified quotes on the trade to grease the skid so to speak

That is incorrect.

Ford Dealer Invoice - (0.4% * Dealer Invoice) + Administration Fee of $275
